Black pepper is a widely used whole spice which is ground into powder to be sprinkled over raita, fruit chaat, sandwich, burger, mashed potatoes, omelette, soups, sausage, hamburger, and vegetable salad. Many people replace red chilli powder with black pepper powder in a number of dishes, as this spice is beneficial in detoxifying body, losing weight, cleansing stomach, regulating high blood pressure, preventing constipation, and producing red blood cells. A pinch of black pepper powder is also added in tea to provide relief from sore throat and cough.
